Lisa Buchanan (AKA Dangerosa) is a British contemporary artist.
Combining surrealism and photorealism with a cinematic sensibility for narrative, Dangerosa explores themes of complex interpersonal relationships and moral ambiguity through fictional characters and surroundings. By seamlessly fusing personal experiences with influences from alternative music and film culture, Dangerosa's work gives the ancient traditions of storytelling and myth-making a contemporary feel. This escapism into fiction creates a dreamlike lens through which to view the scene, as Dangerosa presents dark and visceral subject matter in a smooth application of vibrant colours and flawless finish. She has exhibited around the UK and created bespoke artwork for private collectors. She has collaborated on music and video projects and featured in publications.
